50th Class Reunion

For those who will need lodging for the 9/17/10, 9/18/10 and/or 9/19/10 a discount price has been negotiated with the Fairfield Inn & Suites for a cost of $81.00 per night plus tax.  Reservations must be made with the Marriott on/or before 8/1/10 to take advantage of this special rate.  When making reservations mention Aquinas Class of 1960. This is a brand new beautiful hotel with indoor pool & exercise room that would ordinarily have a rate of over $100.00 per night.

Saturday  Sept. 18 

Mass 5:00 p.m. at St. Peters Church, 98 Franklin Square, New Britain, Ct. 

The Aquinas Fiftieth Reunion will  be preceded by  a Mass for members and their families with a memorial for the deceased members of the Class of 1960.  The Mass will be at St. Peters church, Franklin Square, New Britain, Ct. at 5:00 p.m. Some of the Alumni  will serve at the Mass. Fr. Frank Matera & Msgr. Larry Hogan will concelebrate the Mass.  Fr. Matera will deliver the homily.

To date we have 19 classmates who have passed away  they are the following  Geraldine Archacki, Jacqueline Baillargeon, Nancy Batagowski, Margie Carbone, Albert Cote, Catherine Crowley, Terry Higgins, Carol Kasey, Mary Lynch, Thomas Marinelli, Margaret Moynahan, Robert Rouleau, Marie Scaringe, Florence Schiffert ,  Alicia Scully, Mary-Ann Steffany & William Zaniewski, Kathleen Daley May, Patricia Gaj .

                1957-1960 pop tunes will be played at the buffet. A CD copy of the tunes played that evening may be ordered from the Grandson of Ronald Giddix.  For those interested in purchasing a copy fill-out the order form available @ the reunion.  The cost will be on the order form and/or may be posted here in as soon as it is known.

 

Sunday Sept. 19

Buffet Brunch at 11:00 a.m. Stonewell Restaurant 354 Colt Highway RTE 6, Farmington, Ct.     

Pay on your own, price is $17.99 plus tax per person.

All you can eat buffet with a complimentary glass of champagne.

The buffet menu consists of Asst Breakfast items: Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Pancakes, Hash Browns, Sausage and Bacon, Made to order Omlettes, Scrambled Eggs and Belgian Waffles with assorted toppings and Hot Syrup.

Assorted Salad Items, Appetizers - Shrimp

Five Selections of Hot Foods items, Pasta, Chicken, Beef, Seafod, Two Meat Carvings

People who are attending the reunion on Saturday will receive a book,  If you are not coming and wish to order a book, please e-Mail me  BMisko1@CFL.RR.COM  or send a note with $15.00 for the book to Barbara Misko, P.O.Box 351297  Palm Coast,Fla. 32135.   All Books will be mailed out after the reunion.  I will be in Ct. Sept. 5, but you can still e-mail to let me know and I will mail the book when I come home, we did make some extra.
